We kept postponing it, on account of the weather, or the \u201ccompetition\u201d \u2013 from Brasov you can easily get to much more popular areas such as Postavaru, Piatra Craiului, Bucegi. The Persani Mountains (to which the hills of Poiana Marului belong to) are constantly left out because people find them less then glamorous, being too small and unimportant in their class. No imposing peaks, no rocky ridges; however, their mellow crests, easy slopes, and old beech woods promised all sorts of bicycle delights. And so this autumn their turn finally came.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n<p>Conform unui  mod de lucru devenit deja tradi\u0163ie, am \u00eenceput c\u0103utarea de trasee \u00een  zon\u0103 cu Google Earth-ul. \u00cen cazul Per\u015fanilor solu\u0163ia se impunea, pentru  c\u0103 nu exist\u0103 trasee turistice \u00een zon\u0103 \u00een afara M\u0103gurii Codlei, iar  h\u0103r\u0163ile tip\u0103rite nu ofereau mare ajutor. De pe Google Earth am mutat  trackuri pe GPS, apoi am tatonat zona \u00een dou\u0103 ie\u015firi pedestre. Toamna  trecut\u0103 am umblat pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 Holbav, toamna asta am f\u0103cut o incursiune \u00een  jurul Poienei M\u0103rului. Am constatat c\u0103 ceea ce sugerau imaginile din  Google Earth se confirma la fa\u0163a locului: zona este mai mult dec\u00e2t  adecvat\u0103 pentru ture de mountainbiking\/cross country.<\/p>\n<p>Dup\u0103 un  octombrie neobi\u015fnuit de rece, vremea s-a \u00eendulcit la \u00eenceputul lui  noiembrie astfel c\u0103, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu Christi \u015fi cu doi rucsaci plini cu  aparatura foto (varii obiective, trepied) ne-am prezentat la fa\u0163a  locului. Am prins o minunat\u0103 zi de toamn\u0103, cu temperaturi pl\u0103cute, cu o  lumin\u0103 ca mierea, cu bucuria descoperirii unor locuri izolate, unde  nebunia &#8216;agroturismului&#8217; \u00eenecat \u00een kitsch &#8211; prezent la tot pasul \u00een  foarte apropiata zon\u0103 turistic\u0103 a Branului &#8211; \u00eenc\u0103 nu a ajuns. Ne\u015ftiind  mare lucru despre zon\u0103, nu aveam cine \u015ftie ce a\u015ftept\u0103ri. A\u015fa c\u0103 am putut  fi \u00eenc\u00e2nta\u0163i \u00een voie.
