R\u0103spunsul a fost cel evident: \u201e<em>cum ai putea fi preg\u0103tit pentru <a title=\"Iron Bike Oradea 2010\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mountainriders.ro\/ironbikeoradea\/ibo2010_ro.html\" target=\"_blank\">a\u015fa ceva<\/a><\/em>\u201d?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div id=\"attachment_366\" style=\"width: 705px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-366\" class=\"size-full wp-image-366     \" style=\"margin-top: 5px;\" title=\"IBO2010-profile_new\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mtbtours.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IBO2010-profile_new.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"695\" height=\"461\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-366\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Iron Bike, Oradea 2010: 267 km, 4500 metri diferen\u0163\u0103 de nivel, timp limit\u0103 de 22 de ore.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Drept care \u00een vinerea urm\u0103toare descindeam \u00een S\u00e2nmartin, l\u00e2ng\u0103 Oradea, cu nici 10 minute \u00eenainte de anun\u0163ata \u015fedin\u0163\u0103 tehnic\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;\"><em>Parc\u0103 tot nu-mi venea s\u0103 cred la ce m-am \u00eenh\u0103mat. Pornisem cu mari \u00eendoieli \u015fi doar perseveren\u0163a lui Egi (cite\u015fte \u201eeghi\u201d) a f\u0103cut s\u0103-mi pun numele pe formularul de \u00eenscriere al\u0103turi de al lui. Cu numele echipei a fost mai simplu, \u201eOut of office\u201d aducea nota de autoironie necesar\u0103 unui demers u\u015for smintit. Nu de alta dar &#8211; vorba lui <em>fratello<\/em> &#8211; ne b\u0103team cu noi \u00een\u015fine \u015fi trebuia s\u0103 fim preg\u0103ti\u0163i s\u0103 pierdem.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ne \u00eent\u00e2lnim cu cuno\u015ftin\u0163e vechi, facem altele noi. La \u015fedin\u0163a tehnic\u0103 se cam face haz de necaz. Cineva spune c\u0103 s-a declarat cod galben \u015fi \u00eentreab\u0103 cum va fi vremea. Nu tresare nimeni, ce mai conteaz\u0103 o provocare \u00een plus? Citesc pe net c\u0103 autorit\u0103\u0163ile recomand\u0103 statul \u00een cas\u0103 pe perioada codului galben. Chiar a\u015fa, ce mai conteaz\u0103 o provocare \u00een plus? M\u0103 \u00eentreab\u0103 dac\u0103-s preg\u0103tit. Cum a\u015f putea fi!?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>0km, 0 ore, 0  minute<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">La start deja e forfot\u0103, f\u0103r\u0103 alte am\u00e2n\u0103ri se d\u0103 semnalul de plecare la marele fix (vreo 10 secunde dup\u0103 4:30 a.m. conform GPS-ului, care nu gre\u015fe\u015fte niciodat\u0103).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Rul\u0103m 15km pe asfalt pentru a ocoli o zon\u0103 bucluca\u015f\u0103. De\u015fi se \u00eencearc\u0103 un fel de neutralizare a cursei p\u00e2n\u0103 la T\u0103\u015fad, cei 2&#215;33 bicicli\u015fti se r\u0103sp\u00e2ndesc pe multe sute de metri. Cineva pierde un bidon. Mie-mi cade vitezometrul, m\u0103 \u00eentorc dup\u0103 el. Apoi \u00eemi cade &#8211; din nou &#8211; lumini\u0163a ro\u015fie de sub \u015fa. Renun\u0163 s-o mai recuperez. Bicicleta lui Egi scoate un zgomot ritmic \u00eengrijor\u0103tor a\u015fa c\u0103 ne oprim. Ungem cele dou\u0103 pedale sc\u0103lda\u0163i \u00een farurile Hilux-ul Salvamont care \u00eenchidea plutonul. Ne urc\u0103m din nou \u00een \u015fa. De fapt chiar <em>mai<\/em> mult c\u0103 nici nu ie\u015fim bine din T\u0103\u015fad \u015fi mai lu\u0103m o pauz\u0103. Egi cheltuie\u015fte din pu\u0163ina h\u00e2rtie igienic\u0103 pe care o avem, eu ron\u0163\u0103i un baton de cereale. Exist\u0103 o compensa\u0163ie \u00een toate, presupun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00cen a\u015fteptarea codului galben cerul e de un albastru impecabil. \u00cen lumina chioar\u0103 a dimine\u0163ii apuc s\u0103 v\u0103d, la o r\u0103sp\u00e2ntie, c\u0103 track-ul GPS face dreapta. Pe urcarea spre Corbe\u015fti constat c\u0103 nu pot schimba pe foaia mic\u0103 a\u015fa c\u0103 m\u0103 opresc s\u0103 cur\u0103\u0163 \u015fi restul de noroi din schimb\u0103torul fa\u0163\u0103. Dou\u0103 minute mai t\u00e2rziu (\u015fi trei sferturi de bidon) reu\u015fesc s\u0103 identific \u015fi s\u0103 \u00eendep\u0103rtez pietricica generatoare de bucluc. M\u0103 gr\u0103besc s\u0103-l ajung pe Egi, dar dau doar de bicicleta rezemat\u0103-n \u015fan\u0163. Cre\u015fte consumul de h\u00e2rtie igienic\u0103. \u00cencep s\u0103-mi fac griji, con\u0163inutul ma\u0163elor are rostul lui la prestat efort.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Cobor\u00e2m \u00een Hidi\u015fel. Aici era programat\u0103 prima \u00eent\u00e2lnire cu echipa de asisten\u0163\u0103 dar am ajuns \u00eenaintea lor a\u015fa c\u0103 schimb\u0103m planul \u015fi ne vedem de drum. Oricum n-aveam nevoie de nimic. \u00cen Luncasprie, la CP2, umplu bidonul de\u015fertat pe lan\u0163 cu oarece zeam\u0103 galben\u0103. Arat\u0103 a detergent de vase. Parc\u0103 nici gustul nu e departe. \u00cengurgitez disciplinat o banan\u0103 \u015fi atac\u0103m urcarea pe Dealul Sclavu. Asfaltul e \u00eenlocuit de piatr\u0103 cubic\u0103, panta e sus\u0163inut\u0103 dar nu a\u015fa mare cum o anun\u0163a Egi.  Urc\u0103m bine, poate prea bine. Egi m\u0103 tempereaz\u0103 din c\u00e2nd \u00een c\u00e2nd. Cineva spune c\u0103 de\u015fi e o or\u0103 la care \u00eenc\u0103 n-ar \u00eencepe nici un maraton mtb \u00een Rom\u00e2nia noi deja am terminat o tur\u0103 scurt\u0103. M\u0103 uit pe tabel, v\u0103d c\u0103 Maus \u015fi Rare\u015f au trecut primii. Au deja 50 de minute avans. M\u0103 g\u00e2ndesc c\u0103 probabil ei se \u00eentrec cu codul galben. Ron\u0163\u0103im c\u00e2te ceva \u015fi plec\u0103m repede, Geiger-ii mai r\u0103m\u00e2n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>78,5km, 4 ore \u015fi 13 minute<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Pe scurta c\u0103\u0163\u0103rare spre Cur\u0103\u0163ele ne \u00eencruci\u015f\u0103m cu o echip\u0103. Egi \u00eei vede mai vioi \u015fi le propune s\u0103 treac\u0103 \u00een fa\u0163\u0103 s\u0103 nu-i \u00eencurc\u0103m. Drumul devine tehnic, suprafa\u0163a dintre cele dou\u0103 \u015fleauri din noroiul \u00eent\u0103rit se \u00eengusteaz\u0103. E totu\u015fi ciclabil\u0103, \u00eemi zic eu. \u00cei v\u0103d pe cei doi c\u0103 ezit\u0103, apoi primul se d\u0103 jos. Al doilea \u00eei urmeaz\u0103 exemplul. N-am \u00eencotro \u015fi descalec \u015fi eu. \u00cen spatele meu Egi&#8230; ooo&#8230; ce-a fost asta? Aud o exclama\u0163ie ce nu anun\u0163\u0103 nimic bun \u015fi m\u0103 \u00eentorc exact la timp pentru a-l vedea c\u0103z\u00e2nd pe partea st\u00e2ng\u0103. O fi partea cu clavicula de inox? Nu-mi amintesc. Totu\u015fi pare ok. R\u0103suflu u\u015furat. Egi \u00ee\u015fi revine repede, se resemneaz\u0103 c\u0103 nu se poate repara nimic \u015fi continu\u0103m la deal. Sigur, se poate merge doar cu fr\u00e2na spate dar&#8230; 195 de kilometri!? 4000 de metri diferen\u0163\u0103 de nivel de cobor\u00e2t!? N-avem dec\u00e2t s\u0103 afl\u0103m. Printre \u00eenjur\u0103turi (adresate&#8230; nim\u0103nui \u015fi tuturor) Egi zice: \u201e<em>Gata, am renun\u0163at la orice g\u00e2nd la clasament. M\u0103car s\u0103 termin\u0103m.<\/em>\u201d. Hm. Stai un pic. De c\u00e2nd avem noi g\u00e2nduri la clasament?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Cobor\u00e2rea spre Cur\u0103\u021bele se consum\u0103 f\u0103r\u0103 incidente, ne mai vine inima la loc. N-apuc\u0103m s\u0103 ne dezmeticim p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een Budureasa. \u00cencepe urcarea spre St\u00e2na de Vale. Dup\u0103 prima serpentin\u0103 \u00eencepe din nou. De-adev\u0103ratelea. Urc\u0103m \u00eentr-un ritm constant, CP4 se apropie lini\u015ftitor de repede. Egi \u00eens\u0103 se pl\u00e2nge de foame. O fi r\u0103zbunarea h\u00e2rtiei igienice disp\u0103rute prematur. Prindem echipa de asisten\u0163\u0103 oprit\u0103 la o \u015fedin\u0163\u0103 foto \u015fi d\u0103m iama \u00een pastele preg\u0103tite de Egi de asear\u0103. Hm, p\u00e2n\u0103 la urm\u0103 m\u0103n\u00e2nc mai mult eu dec\u00e2t el. Sug \u015fi dintr-un Powerade dac\u0103 tot e la \u00eendem\u00e2n\u0103. Cumplit de amar, semn c\u0103 aparatul meu digestiv \u00eencepe s-o ia razna.  Geiger-ii ne dep\u0103\u015fesc. Din nou 12%. Trecem pe sub poarta ce marcheaz\u0103 intrarea \u00een St\u00e2na de Vale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>102km, 6 ore \u015fi 20 de minute<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ne oprim s\u0103 ne \u00eembr\u0103c\u0103m, urmeaz\u0103 o cobor\u00e2re lung\u0103. Egi schimb\u0103 priorit\u0103\u0163ile \u015fi se n\u0103puste\u015fte c\u0103tre toaleta stabilimentului din apropiere. Minutele trec unul c\u00e2te unul. \u00cencepe s\u0103-mi fie r\u0103coare. Iese, n-apuc\u0103 s\u0103 se \u00eembrace, se n\u0103puste\u015fte \u00een tufi\u015furi. A patra oar\u0103 \u00een 100 km. Mai sunt 175, probabil mai dificili. Normal ar fi s\u0103 m\u0103 \u00eengrijorez dar&#8230; ce mai conteaz\u0103 o provocare \u00een plus?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00cencerc s\u0103 m\u0103 consolez cu g\u00e2ndul c\u0103 m\u0103car va fi mai u\u015furel pe cobor\u00e2ri \u015fi-l va \u00eencurca mai pu\u0163in lipsa unei fr\u00e2ne. Nu reu\u015fesc, nu \u0163ine. Cum-necum reu\u015fim s\u0103 plec\u0103m. Mi-e chiar frig. Cerul s-a tulburat amenin\u0163\u0103tor, orele se scurg cu repeziciune spre codul galben.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ne d\u0103m drumul pe Valea Iadului. Un rest de asfalt &#8211; vechi de 20 de ani, mi se spune &#8211; ne permite o alunecare destul de u\u015foara, \u00eentrerupt\u0103 \u00eens\u0103 de gropi \u00een\u015fel\u0103toare. Egi m\u0103 roag\u0103 s\u0103 stau \u00een spatele lui, \u00eei e team\u0103 c\u0103 f\u0103r\u0103 fr\u00e2n\u0103 pe fa\u0163\u0103 risc\u0103 s\u0103 intre \u00een mine. M\u0103 \u00eenarmez cu r\u0103bdare \u015fi-l supraveghez \u00eendeaproape. Din c\u00e2nd \u00een c\u00e2nd \u00eencerc s\u0103 fr\u00e2nez doar cu spatele. Nu-mi place ce simt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ajungem un Logan pick-up \u015fi un Megan. Ne permit s\u0103-i dep\u0103\u015fim dar pentru kilometri buni Loganul ne sufl\u0103 \u00een ceaf\u0103. Egi e din ce \u00een ce mai iritat, \u00eei facem semn s\u0103 ne dep\u0103\u015feasc\u0103 f\u0103r\u0103 nici un succes. \u00centr-un final ne oprim cu totul pe dreapta \u015fi a\u015ftept\u0103m s\u0103 treac\u0103. O m\u00e2n\u0103 scoate pe geam o camer\u0103 \u015fi ne filmeaz\u0103. Aha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Din goana bicicletei Valea Iadului arat\u0103 impresionant. Egi \u00eemi arat\u0103 cascada, reu\u015fesc s-o z\u0103resc \u00een ultimul moment. Valea se lini\u015fte\u015fte \u00eencet &#8211; \u00eencet, ajungem aproape pe plat. CP4 e aproape, suntem cu aproape o or\u0103 sub barem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>\u00cei auzisem pe mai mul\u0163i \u00eengrijora\u0163i de limita de 8 ore la 120km, \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu Egi. Mie mi se p\u0103rea c\u0103 \u00eengrijorarea abia dincolo de km120 \u00eencepe. Constat \u00eens\u0103 c\u0103 dac\u0103 nu s-ar fi neutralizat bucata p\u00e2n\u0103 la Poiana T\u0103\u015fad am fi ajuns cam la limit\u0103. O fi fost. Diferen\u0163a e c\u0103 el a f\u0103cut cu 4 ore mai pu\u0163in. La ritmul lui noi am fi fost (nu doar am fi ar\u0103tat) termina\u0163i pe la CP2-CP3 (asta ca s\u0103 fim \u00eeng\u0103duitori).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Sandwich-uri, cola. La ziua aceea se limitau, p\u00e2n\u0103 ieri, aproape to\u0163i kilometri pedala\u0163i \u00eempreun\u0103. Cu toate astea, c\u00e2nd m-a \u00eentrebat acum o lun\u0103 dac\u0103 nu vreau s\u0103 merg la Iron Bike Oradea, n-am avut nici o \u00eendoial\u0103 c\u0103 e coechipierul potrivit.
