Moving pictures: single trail mtb in Piatra Craiului
We return with a video production after quite a long pause. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did while riding the trails of Piatra Craiului, filming and editing the piece. There is a quite simple reason why we lagged behind on the video production front: when you go filming, that’s pretty much… Read more »

“Brutal und Total” – five mountains in seven days
“Brutal” and “total” were the most used words by our four guests during our seven-day mountain biking tour across the Carpathians.

The mtb trails of Transylvania
Eva and Christian are travelling to Transylvania quite often, tracing back family roots in and around Sibiu (Hermannstadt) area. This summer they wanted to try something different so they opted for a guided mtb tour, exploring trails in the Fortified Churches area, near Viscri, and then on the foothills of Piatra Craiului and Bucegi mountains…. This is mountain biking!
Santa came early this year for mtbtours.ro. It was mid-October when we had the joy and the privilege to organize a tour for a select group of French bikers. We… Read more »

Searching for the perfect trails
The rainy and muddy summer of 2014 in Romania did not stop us in having a glorious week, biking on the trails around Predeal, climbing the great Strunga Pass from the West Side (the in-famous Strunga descent just became an equally thrilling Strunga climb)

Shinny, happy, muddy bikers
Sometimes we get too picky – I won’t go out today, it’s looking a little bit cloudy and I don’t want to risk a wash out. Nonsense! Get out and ride! Thanks Ryan, Pat and Martin for a great time out in the great, wet outdoors!

Mtb in Saxon villages area, Transylvania
The blessing of being a mountain biker living in the city of Brașov comes with a price. Mind you, it’s a small one. With so many options of single trail riding in the neighbouring mountains (Postăvaru, Bucegi, Piatra Mare, Piatra Craiului, etc.) you don’t get too many incentives to travel further way looking for new… Read more »
